Meet The Team
In our advisory role, we never take custody of client assets. We utilize Schwab Institutional, a division of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., as the custodian of client accounts and as our primary broker. Client assets are held by Schwab in separate accounts registered in each client’s own name (no co-mingling). Our relationship to Schwab is arm’s length with no exchange of funds between Schwab and Lincoln Capital.
With client service being a top priority, we provide clients with:
- 24/7 online account access through https://www.schwaballiance.com/
- Monthly brokerage statements from Schwab Institutional
- Quarterly Portfolio Reports from Lincoln Capital Corporation
- Emails and newsletters with economic commentary and Lincoln Capital’s investment outlook
- Meetings, emails, and calls at client request
Lincoln Capital Corporation was founded in 1991 by Ronald E. Albert who began his investment career in 1976 as a financial planner with Investor’s Diversified Services (a.k.a. Ameriprise Financial). Ron then joined Kidder Peabody & Co., a highly regarded investment banking firm, where he was well trained as a stockbroker and was approved to do fee-based financial planning. In the mid-to-late-1980s, Ron gained valuable experience as Vice President and Manager of Dean Witter’s Providence office, where he earned management recognition for the development and quality level of the Providence office.
During those years, Ron developed a passion for helping and advising clients on how to reach their personal investment goals. Yet his years of experience taught Ron that the business structure of brokerage firms has inherent conflicts of interests, as well as high expenses, and they were not fiduciaries.
Now over the three-decade mark, what began as a one-man shop has grown to six full-time employees, including Certified Financial Planners, a Chartered Financial Analyst, and experienced administrative staff. The fiduciary objective of the firm continues under the guidance of Ron with the addition of Brittany Albert Moran, CFP®, Alexander Albert CFP ®, and Sean McGuirk, CFA. These professionals, who are principal-shareholders of our firm, are emboldened to continue this mission for the next 30 years.
